Who We Are

Scott Stanger

MSc, CAT(C), RMT, CSCS

Scott has been in the health and fitness industry for the past 15 years. Scott attended Western University where he obtained a Bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology. He then went to Sheridan College where he completed a second Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Therapy and became certified with the Canadian Athletic Therapy Association. Soon after, Scott became a Registered Massage Therapist.

Scott worked with Cricket Canada between 2011 and 2014 as the Strength and Conditioning Coach and Athletic Therapist with the national team. Since 2014 Scott has been working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach in private clinics and training facilities, working with a wide variety of clients. Having completed the Titleist Performance Institute golf fitness certification course Scott enjoys working with golfers to improve their swing.

In 2015 Scott obtained a Masters degree in exercise science from Edith Cowan University. More recently, in 2017, Scott completed his Level 2 nutrition coaching certification with Precision Nutrition.

Scott places a large emphasis on developing proper movement patterns and addressing any musculoskeletal limitations affecting one’s movement, through therapy and exercise.

Kip Shortreed

B.kin, BCAK

Kip was born and raised in Squamish BC. Since Kip was young he's been involved in all kinds of different sports, however mountain biking is his primary sport. Kip was a member of the BC team for 3 years, and competed at the national level. Through biking Kip was introduced into the world of both performance training and injury rehabilitation.

Kip completed my Bachelors of Human Kinetics at the University of British Columbia - Okanagan with a focus on the clinical stream. Kip has since become a practicing member of the British Columbia Association of Kinesiologists. He has worked with a wide range of clients to address; sporting injuries, sports performance, injuries related to motor vehicle accidents, chronic health conditions, head injuries, as well as general health and fitness.

Erin Dillon

Office Manager

Erin is a student at the University of British Columbia Okanagan Campus here in Kelowna. She is currently in the fourth and final year of her Human Kinetics degree. Leading a healthy and active lifestyle has always been an important part of Erin’s life, which is why she chose to go into a field where she can help others do the same!

Erin is originally from Jasper Alberta, and came out to the Okanagan for school. She grew up playing hockey and soccer and has always had a passion for getting active in nature. She enjoys hiking, biking, camping, and pretty much any outdoor activity. Erin has been loving the Okanagan lifestyle! When she isn’t studying or working at Optimiiize your can find Erin swimming in the beautiful Okanagan lakes or skiing up at Big White.

Jessy Gale

Office Manager

Jessy grew up in North Vancouver spending all her free time running in the Lynn Canyon trails or along the West Vancouver Seawall. She played soccer for twelve years and went on to coaching local high school soccer leagues as a certified soccer coach.

After doing two years of University in Vancouver, Jessy transferred to UBC Okanagan. She is halfway done her Bachelor of Management degree. She plans to become a Certified Personal Accountant once she has completed her degree.

Jessy is loving everything Kelowna has to offer and is excited to finish off her degree here. She hopes to make Kelowna her permanent home!
